Fitness and exercise have always been important to me and I have always loved playing team sports and doing my own fitness. However, after feeling like I had let my fitness slacken off and having to miss a season of netball due to work commitments, I decided to give CrossFit a go and fell in love with it straight away. I got a taste for it through a netball group session in Auburn and from then I couldn’t wait to become a member and get into the WODs. I love how every session is challenging and leaves you feeling so strong and ready to get into the day. I know first-hand how rewarding it is when you commit and are consistent. The way CrossFit operates is more than just a gym though, it’s about community and being surrounded by like-minded and positive people that inspire you to push a little harder and be a little better.
Since starting CrossFit in April 2018, I have hit so many PB’s, my favourite being deadlifts and power cleans; competed in and came second in my first CrossFit competition; and completed a half marathon.
I am so excited about being a coach at CrossFit5451, wanting to inspire and nurture others to become the stronger, healthier and happier version of themselves just like CrossFit has done for me.
